About Energylandia

The Energylandia amusement park, located in the southern part of our country, and more specifically in the town of Zator, is the largest amusement park in Central and Eastern Europe. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people, including from abroad, flock to this small town to enjoy the available attractions and experience new, unforgettable experiences.

Energylandia was established in 2014 and at the moment has an area of about 43 hectares, where there are 6 different themed zones: Family, Extreme, Water Park, Aqualantis, Bajkolandia and Dragon Garden.

EnergylandiaOf particular interest to visitors is Hyperion, which is the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in Europe, as well as Zadra, launched in 2019, which is now the tallest wooden rollercoaster in the world.

Within Energylandia you will also find 25 interactive games and activities, as well as 9 performance stages along with a state-of-the-art 7D cinema and the Moya Planetarium. In addition, the park hosts numerous educational and artistic workshops and pyrotechnic shows, included in the ticket price.

The expansion of Energylandia and its attractions is the foundation of the development that has been noticeable since the very beginning of our Amusement Park in July 2014. We can currently boast 105 attractions on a developed area of 43 hectares, and what's more, being named the No. 1 roller coaster park in Europe. No other facility of this kind on the old continent has a greater number of roller coasters. We have 18 of them! The development and popularity of our place is accompanied by an increasing number of visitors, thanks to whom further development is possible. In order to keep this flywheel rolling at the right pace, it is necessary to improve and enhance it. A step towards increasing the excellence of our guest service is the mobile checkout system introduced thanks to the cooperation with GoPOS. We can already see the usefulness of this solution, which pleases not only us, but also our guests visiting the Park!

The challenge

Recent months have been extremely busy for Energylandia. This was mainly due to the constant enlargement of the park and the construction of the new Aqualantis zone. The growing number of new attractions, the modernity of the facility and a number of excellent promotional activities have resulted in a constantly growing number of visitors, and the amusement park is popular not only among Polish tourists.

The challenge we face is the constant need to improve and streamline our services in order to continually increase the level of customer service. Efficient guest service is one of the most important goals of the company. It was therefore imperative to find and then implement a bespoke solution for the size of the facility.

Solution

In response to the growing interest in the Energylandia Amusement Park, in cooperation with the Novitus company and eService, we decided to introduce an innovative solution to eliminate the queues at ticket offices, as well as provide even greater comfort and security for our guests.

So-called mobile points of sale have been implemented, more specifically 20 mobile salespeople whose task is to serve visitors quickly outside traditional points of sale. This innovative solution has already proved successful in other locations serving large numbers of customers, such as shopping centres and petrol stations.

The chosen solution using a so-called cash terminal equipped with a sales, fiscal and payment application was chosen, which allows for fast and comprehensive service of guests. “The heart” of the Novitus One Online fiscal cash register with a small 5-inch touch panel and integrated payment terminal from eService, is the GoPOS system that has been supporting sales processes throughout the park for years. The cash registers used are not only lightweight and do not overload the employee, but also allow for offline operation and give the possibility to print up to 1,000 receipts when fully charged, while the payment terminal from eService enables fast and secure payment by card, BLIK or smartphone. As a result, retailers are able to serve guests arriving at the Park faster. The solution also helps to maintain a safe social distance by reducing queues at checkouts.

Results

From the first observations and data provided to us by Energylandia we can conclude that the customer service process has been significantly shortened by the introduction of the mobile salesmen. The solution used allowed for a significant optimisation of the whole service process, thanks to which guests are able to enter the park faster and use the attractions on site.
